KYOSA at KASA:Bridging In-School and Out-of-School Learning at the Kentucky Association of School Administrators Conference

KYOSA had the privilege of connecting with school administrators from across Kentucky at the 2026 KASA Conference, and the conversations were inspiring.

Administrator after administrator shared how out-of-school time programming is a vital part of their students' success story. They spoke about out-of-school time as a space for continued safe learning after the school day ends, for hands-on STEM exploration that there simply isn't time for during the school day, and as a meaningful tool for leveling the opportunity gap in their communities.

These are exactly the conversations KYOSA is here to elevate and amplify. Strengthening the relationship between out-of-school time professionals and school administrators is an important aspect of our mission, because when those two worlds work together, Kentucky's kids win.

We were also thrilled to raffle off a Family STEM Night courtesy of Mr. Science, a fun reminder that the connection between school communities and out-of-school time programs extends all the way to the whole family.

Thank you to every administrator who stopped by and shared their story.

We look forward to continuing to build these important bridges across the commonwealth!
