STEM in Afterschool
The Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance is dedicated to expanding access to productive out-of-school science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning programs by improving existing programs and creating new ones.STEM-focused programs that operate outside of the school day proven to be uniquely effective at reducing achievement gaps. By offering hands-on, project-based learning that makes STEM come alive for youth before-school, afterschool, and summer learning programs can spark youth interest in these fields and inspire them to pursue majors and careers in STEM.

Click2SciencePD offers STEM professional development resources for out-of-school time program providers. The site hosts a variety of self-directed web lessons, webinars, and guides for staff trainings on STEM in out-of-school time programs directed at program leaders, frontline staff, and program volunteers. Click2Science resources are low cost professional development opportunities with web lessons costing five dollars for professional development credit.
